disabled form a National Paralympics Association

For the first time ever the disabled have formed a National Paralympics Association to cater for their Sports interests.

While officiating at their first assembly held at YMCA Wandegeya, Uganda Olympic Committee general secretary Gabriel Oloka pledged some assistance to the Paralympics team.

He commended the members for forming a committee saying that Uganda Olympic Committee deals with only organized associations.

John Ndiraba Kiyaga was elected unopposed as the president of Uganda Paralympics Association, deputized by Abdul Ssebagala, while William Mayanja was elected secretary.

Others include Ismail Mugume as treasurer, Bumali Mpindi in charge of Marketing, Fred Sejjemba organizing secretary, Haruna Sendagire Technical a assisted by Charees Lukwago.

Among the Paralympics associations that attended include Power Lifting, Swimming, Athletics, Shooting, Archery and Rowing.
