KKL in 7 th win record of Tivoli Cup

Kampala Kids League lifted the Tivoli Cup for a record 7 th time when they survived a severe thunderstorm and hailstorm to crack in 6 superb goals to dash the hopes of local Danish Academy Hillerod.

Dorian Klonaridis, who has now been signed up by AEK Athens, settled nerves with a carefully placed lob over the keeper in the 3rd minute. The referee then dragged the players off the field for 10 minutes as a blistering hailstorm swept the field.

On resumption KKL made the game safe before Hillerod could settle and goals from Ssenoga, Ssegujja and Ibrahim Juma made it 4-0 at half time.

The third goal from Ssenoga was voted by Scouts and officials as the best in the tournament as the Ugandan striker sweetly converted a 6 man incisive move by KKL.

In the second half Gift Ali and Ssenoga added further goals to give KKL their 7th straight victory in the Tivoli Cup.

On Monday KKL have been selected to play against Brazillian Academy Pequeninos De Jockey on the main Astroturf field as Gothia Cup opener before representing Uganda in the spectacular opening ceremony in front of 47,000 people in Ullevi Stadium.
