The Mango Kobs start defense of their Bell Larger rugby league title with a tough encounter last season’s 4 th runners up Hima Impis tomorrow at Kampala Rugby club. The Kobs who are even favoured for a back to back title after winning the season opening chairman’s cup but must prove against a youthful Makerere side that strengthened itself with new signings.

The 8 time champions have boasted their squad with the signing of Allan Matisiko from Pirates while their opponents have brought in winger Wigi Rugumayo, Marvin Ayebale and Richard Serunjoji.

However last week Kobs players admitted their inability in moving upfront during the chairman’s cup and with such a loop hole the Impis might give those difficult times. Rivals Heathens also play host to Rhinos in a bid to restore their glory at Kyadondo.
