Dr.Ashraf Ahamed wins Mbarara motor rally

Dr. Ashraf Ahamed has won the two day Mbarara Motor Rally after clocking 2 hours, 51 minutes and 24 seconds in a highly contested motor rally that saw former National Rally Champion Ronald Sebuguzi dropping out.

The rally fraternity was entertained by ladies Rose Lwakataka and Leila Mayanja who finished second and third respectively after putting up a good show in Biharwe, Kyoyibanda, Kyomugolanyi and Kanyanyaru sections.

Fast raising rally driver Rose Lwakataka in a Subaru Impreza WRX, won the sixth and seventh sections before posting a time of 2 hours, 59 minutes and 18 seconds, while Leila Mayanja came third in 3 hours, 18 minutes and 59 seconds.

Black Widow recorded a time to 3 hours 39 minutes and 20 seconds to finish fourth followed by Masoor Sanya and Ben Koyesiga respectively.

Cruising a Mitsubishi Evolution 4, Ronald Sebuguzi is believed to have went off road in the 6 th section due to pressure mounted on him by other rally drivers.

Dr. Ashraf leads the NRC chart with 175 points followed by Leila Mayanja with 120, while Sebuguzi lies third with 100 points.
