Man U academy boss expected in the country

Football scouting officer for Manchester United, Rene Meulesteen and soccer academy boss John Shield are expected in the country this September, to follow up on Proline youth players, who have just returned from Europe;

Proline Soccer Academy , Director Mujib Kasule, revealed this at a luncheon organized for the players to welcome them from the European tour where they successfully won four matches. The Proline under 16 soccer team attributed their success in UK

where they managed to beat Portsmouth , Millwall, London Select and Cranes II to discipline. Mujib adds that several UK based soccer academies have shown interest in Ugandan youth players, and promised to pay a visit to Uganda to watch the local training.

Proline Academy Chairman, Hajji Habib Kajimu, also revealed plans of constructing a state of the art Academy , with a soccer pitch, which will accommodate teams from Europe ahead of the 2012 World Cup finals to be held in South Africa .

He urged government to give more attention to sports as another employment area for the youth. National Council of Sports General Secretary, Jasper Aligaweesa applauded Proline boss for the youth soccer development program that will see the Cranes becoming another soccer powerhouse.
