Gulu Kickboxing team excites in League opener

Newly promoted Gulu Kick Boxing Club has excited the local governing body and the fans who turned up for the league launch at Bombo Barracks.

Clad in black jerseys, 57 kilogram Frank Ochoko lost his first fight against Damulira of Pentagon in a thrilling fight that left Ochoko limping.

Ochoko who first bleeded profusely in the first round, improved in the seond round before a left kick got him unawares and the days referee Eddy Gombya counted him out.

However Gulu kick boxing team recovered through Godfrey Okello who outpointed Umaru Katumba of Pentagon in thrilling fight.

Katumba three a barrage of punches on Okello in the first round, but his opponent kicked him out in the second and third round amidst cheers from spectators.

Gulu Club continued to shine as Alex Kintu beat Mohammed Hassan in another interesting fight. The league resume on April 26 th as Gulu play at home.
