Uganda under 17 Cricket team beats Rwanda

The Uganda under 17 national cricket team has recorded an authoritative 10 wicket win over Rwanda in the ICC and Africa cricket championship at Lugogo Oval. Rwanda won the toss and decided to bat first putting up 96 runs for seven.

But the hosts changed proceedings after Lunch scoring two more past the required 97. In form batsman, Emmanuel Nakana, hit 58 off 39 balls with teammate, Henry Ssenyondo, scoring 31 off 41 as the home boys powered to a comfortable win.

Rwanda had earlier threatened with 79 runs in 30 overs curtsey of Eric Dusingizimana and Jean Claude Siboniyo. In the other fixture Kenya beat Tanzania by 93 runs after putting up 209 for ten.

Uganda will be hoping to maintain her winning ways when playing Tanzania this Thursday, while Kenya meets Rwanda at the Kyambogo Oval.
