The business forum so far registering positive reception

The business forum for member countries of the Organization of Islamic conference, slated for June, is registering positive reception, both within Uganda and other member states of the OIC.

Uganda Chambers of commerce says it has received confirmation of attendance from members of the 56 states that make up the organization.

It is less than eight weeks left for the business forum of member states that make up Organization of Islamic conference, to kick off.

Uganda Chamber of commerce and industry has confirmed receipt of proposals from Ugandan businesspeople for participation in the grand business meeting that will bring together the business community from 56 countries. International participants too have given positive feedback.

With an increase in oil prices which has increased production costs worldwide, tapping business ideas from Islamic countries, well known to be wealthy, may salvage Uganda's economy. The business Forum slated for June this year in Uganda , targets a minimum of 1000 participants.

It will be held alongside a meeting for the Foreign affairs ministers of the member states of the Organization of Islamic conference. The member's states are bound not by religion but by economic, social and political affairs.
