Otto presents seventh bribery suspect

Aruu County Mp , Odonga Otto, alleged that MPS shared 150 million shillings to approve the chogm budget. The six, Ibrahim Kaddunabi Lubega, William Nsubuga, Florence Kabahweza Hashaka, Akol Rose Okullu, William Oketcho and John William Opua appeared before the committee with their legal advisors.

During the proceedings, Mp Odonga Otto presented a seventh bribery suspect, Norman Muwulize, MP for Buikwe West County in Mukono. Otto however, declined to present evidence over alleged bribery in the absence of his lawyer, Abdul Katuntu.

The committee them ruled that the six suspects cross examine Odonga Otto. However, drama ensued when Otto was tasked to explain among other things, the inconsistencies in his statement, form of payment for the money in question and his level of maturity.

Mp Otto assures the public that he has substantial evidence to prove beyond reasonable doubt that the six suspects received the bribe. However, the suspects maintain their denial saying that otto lacks corroborating evidence against them.

The committee adjourned the proceedings to Thursday this week, when Otto is expected to present witnesses to pin the suspects.
