KIU basketball club moves top of the league

Kampala international university basketball club has moved top of the basketball league, following a precious 81-71 win over UCU Canons at YMCA.

UCU who won their opening game against defending champions Falcons, suffered a setback at the expense of inform KIU.

KIU took charge of the first three quarters before loosing grip in the final quarter, loosing 18-16 but the result could not uplift the Canons.

Elsewhere defending champions Mogas Falcons registered a narrow 74-71 over Gulu Hawks. Henry Malinga was in excellent form scoring game high 18 points with his young brother Eric scoring 13.

In other games Power were bounced back from their first game loss to defeat Marines 73-68. Miracle were 70-69 winners over KCC lions in a higly competitive men's tie. AI Challenge crashed 2005 ladies champions Makerere Sparks 64-23 in a one sided encounter.
