Ridders Basketball team wins Rhino Basketball Club 83-75

Ridders Basketball team has shocked former giants Rhino Basketball Club in the MTN sponsored league 83-75 in a game played at Lugogo Indoors. In a game that started off with fewer scores, Jimmy Enabu and Collin Mukiza registered a team high 18 and 14 points for Ridders, while Mark Opio had 18 and Johnson Odeke for Rhino had 12.

The first quarter saw both teams missing several lay up shots, though Rhino Ridders improved in the third and last quarters. Federation of Uganda Basketball Association postponed the would be climax of the day between UCU Canons and Sadolin Power, who recently lost their dependable player Wilbrod Oketcho.

In the ladies game, Melody Atim registered a game high 19 points and Beckie Ndibalekera added 10 as Sparks defeated Lakers 59-50. Lakers Suzan Amujo put up a spirited fight in the last quarter collecting 17 points while Jackie Salere added 12, though Sparks won the game by 9 points.

The league resume tomorrow, with Lady Bucks battleing A-1 Challenge and UCU Canons will be taking on Nkuma Marines.
